To whom it may concern
How are you?
I got the stomach gas problem since my chilhood.
Now I am 60 years old. The problem is still there.
Recently I am forced to wake up by breath-difficulty, then the heart-beaten fircely follow.
What is that? It is the heart problem or stomach
matter, that confused me a long period of time

感謝您撥冗來信，對於您信中所提之問題，為您作以下的回覆：
The epigastric fullness is most commonly caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD) or functional dyspepsia. The GERD means reflux of the content of stomach into esophagus. It usually accompanys with acid regurgitation, hiccup and heartburn. Functional dyspepsia is a kind of dysmotility disorder of the stomach that delay the emptying of the stomach after meals. Occasionally, epigastric fullness may result from ischemia of the inferior wall of the heart. However, it is not so likely in your case for long history from childhood. I suggest you meet our OPD that we can help to make a definite diagnosis. See you.
