
2025 Taiwan–Indonesia Smart Healthcare Seminar:
Advancing Smart Hospitals and AI
On November 5,
Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) co-hosted the 2025 Taiwan–Indonesia
Smart Healthcare Seminar in Jakarta with the Indonesian
Hospital Association (ARRSI), highlighting Taiwan’s innovation in smart
healthcare and AI while opening a new chapter for Taiwan–Indonesia medical
cooperation.
The seminar
brought together experts from Taiwan and Indonesia, including officials from
Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, Mandaya Hospital Group, FEMH, and Taiwan’s
Industrial Technology Research Institute, to discuss trends in smart hospitals,
AI applications, and healthcare management. Attended by over 100 healthcare
representatives and media, the forum demonstrated growing collaboration and the
high-level attention of both governments.
Speakers
highlighted Indonesia’s digital health platform SATUSEHAT, AI-assisted
clinical decision-making, and innovations in hospital operations. Taiwanese
companies Shang Zhi Qi and Advantech showcased AI medical platforms, cloud
imaging solutions, and smart ward management, emphasizing the potential for
improving hospital efficiency and patient care.
Multi-Faceted Engagement in the Indonesian
Healthcare Market
During the
visit, FEMH conducted key site visits, including Fatmawati Central General
Hospital (public)
and Mandaya
Hospital Group (private), observing their smart hospital
practices and patient-centered management. FEMH also engaged with Universitas Indonesia
Hospital and Gadjah Mada University Faculty of Medicine,
exchanging insights on medical education, research, and clinical practices. A Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) was signed with Fatmawati Hospital, laying
the groundwork for physician training and knowledge exchange.
FEMH also
visited the Indonesian
Employers Association (APINDO), expanding collaboration
opportunities with hospitals and healthcare industries. Through these
initiatives, FEMH is strengthening Taiwan–Indonesia healthcare ties and
promoting regional medical development.
Looking Ahead
Through the
forum and visits, FEMH has further solidified its partnerships with Indonesian
healthcare institutions, showcasing Taiwan’s leadership in smart healthcare.
The hospital will continue collaborating with international partners to advance
smart healthcare and sustainable health development.
