1. Teleconsultation – Extending Care Beyond Geographical Barriers
Shortages of medical resources in remote areas and accessibility issues for people with limited mobility remain significant challenges for modern healthcare. FEMH provides hospital-wide teleconsultation services, including Post-Acute Care (PAC), cardiovascular services, and remote ophthalmic screening. Through video conferencing and real-time communication, physicians can provide professional diagnosis and follow-up for patients in remote areas or at home. This not only brings high-quality care to rural regions but also ensures that chronic disease management is no longer confined to the hospital campus.
2.Telemonitoring – "Virtual Wards" from Hospital to Home
A shortage of inpatient beds often results in long wait times for patients with mild symptoms in the ER. In July 2025, FEMH launched the “Hospital-at-Home/Acute Care at Home (HaH/ACAH) Team,” utilizing IoT devices to transmit vital signs in real-time to create a "Virtual Ward" model. Through a smart monitoring platform, medical teams can track patients' blood pressure, blood oxygen, and heart rates remotely. This has achieved 100% automated data uploading and an 83% recovery rate, effectively freeing up physical hospital beds while enhancing patient comfort during recovery in a familiar environment.
